Traveller and author Fran Sandham entertained 23 people at Capel Library with an amusing talk about his solo walk across Africa: he brought it alive with reminiscences about his attempted travels with a donkey and then mule plus the surprise of seeing himself after walking some distance constantly with the sun on his left side! Fran also talked about the difficulties he faced trying to get the book about his journey published and the countless rejections! After a lively question and answer session, many of the audience queued up to get copies of his book signed.
