On Wednesday 2 February Library Manager Neil Holmes
helped to demolish the facade of the library as part of the
refurbishment works.

The internal walls of the library on Sergeants Walk
have been removed and work is starting to gather pace.
The lifts have been removed and the ‘strip out’ of the building is
continuing.

14 December 2009 - The Shire Hall site opened


The Shire Hall site opened on 14
December, and a group of customers accompanied staff and
councillor Paul Farmer on a walk from Sergeants Walk to Shire
Hall. They were greeted by the Bookstart Bear and the children
had fun playing while the adults enjoyed mince pies and hot
drinks
