Communicating with the deaf
We now have Sign Language collections in
Bury St Edmunds,
County Library Ipswich, and
Lowestoft libraries. The collections will help those learning
sign languages at different levels.
There are videos and DVDs of interest to deaf people, such as one
on coping with hearing loss, and driving skills, in British Sign
Language (BSL). The children's titles include stories for toddlers
and young children.
All loans are free of charge (except some DVDs). Titles can be
reserved at no cost from anywhere in the county (including over the
World Wide Web) and be picked up at your
local
branch library. We also have books on these subjects.
