Our High and Upper School Standard Service consists
of the following services:
- loan collection of one book per pupil (years seven to
11), either chosen from our mobile library, which visits each
school once per year, or from your
local SLS centre;
- topic loans - 10 topic loans per term. Each topic box contains
20 books and is loaned for one term, with delivery and collection
free;
- library card - enabling your librarian to borrow up to 50
books at any one time from Suffolk libraries;
- our team of professional librarians offer an
Advisory Service to support school librarians in
developing any aspect of their school libraries, and to help to
develop pupils' information handling skills;
-
book ordering facilities are available to help schools to order
good quality new resources at 22 per cent discount;
-
Training for your school librarian - six meetings each
year;
- free entry to our Book Mastermind competition for pupils in
years seven, eight and nine.
Our Standard Service price is worked out using a formula which
includes both an amount per school and an amount per student.
We are currently consulting with schools over potential changes to
our Standard Service package from 2011-2012. We anticipate
finalising the new service during the Autumn Term, and further
information will be published on this site as soon as it is
available.
Read the terms and conditions for our Standard Service and see the
pricing formula (Suffolk schools only - restricted access
link).
