Fiction Discussion Groups
SLS run a number of "Book Talk" book discussion group for teachers
and school librarians, to help them keep up to date with new
fiction for children. Each group meets termly after school, with
participants sharing their views on a range of titles, copies of
which are circulated in advance by SLS.
The meetings are free of charge for schools that buy in to the SLS
Standard Service. For Menu and opt-out schools, there is a small
charge of £15 per term.
The groups currently running, together with the date of the next
meeting and the books to be discussed, are:
Northern Area - Stradbroke (for 4-11 primary schools and 9-13
middle schools)
