Pupils in Langer Primary School Library

Suffolk Schools Library Service aims to:

loan to schools a range of carefully chosen books and other materials to enhance schools' own resources;
advise headteachers and teaching staff on library provision, resources and staffing;
advise schools on electronic sources of information;
encourage schools to exploit and develop their library, classroom and ICT resources to support learning;
provide advice, training and mentoring to staff in school libraries;
promote literacy and the enjoyment of reading at all levels;
support school improvement;
support schools in their work to develop independent learners.
