The Learning Centre

The Learning Centre is situated on the first floor of Lowestoft Library. We provide informal introductory and intermediate level computer courses. 

Open Learning Computers

The Learning Centre has eight computers available to all library members over 18 years of age, which provide access to Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Frontpage, Publisher and Internet Explorer. These computers can be used to practise between learning courses or for writing CVs and applying for jobs.

Library membership is required to use the learning terminals and to attend courses. Getting a library card is free. Follow this link for more information on Getting a library card

Courses that are on offer 

We offer basic introduction to the internet, using courses on the Myguide website supplied by UK Online Centres.  For more information go to UK Online Centres in Suffolk
