Suffolk At Home Library Service

Are you unable to vist your local library because of age, disability or special circumstance?

The Suffolk At Home Library Service brings the library to housebound people. With the support of library staff, local volunteers regularly take books and tapes to nearly 4000 people in their own homes, in sheltered accomodation and residential nursing homes.

If you would like to use or you know someone who might need it, please contact the WRVS County project Coordinator.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact the WRVS County Project Coordinator .
If you would like someone to give a talk about the service, please contact our At Home Library Service Manager.

At Home Library Service Reading Groups

The service runs monthly reading groups aimed at older people, including users of the At Home Library Service and their carers, families or volunteer visitors, offering a stimulating programme of topics to discuss and read around.

These groups can be found at the libraries at Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Halesworth, Ipswich, Lowestoft and Woodbridge. Please contact the libraries for more details.
