There are 44 libraries and six
mobile libraries in Suffolk.
You can use the internet for free in every library. There’s usually
no need to book in advance – just drop in. You need a library
card and PIN (see
How to
use the library). We are part of the
People’s
Network and provide access to the internet for
information, leisure and learning (see
Why Suffolk libraries provides free public access to the
internet, pdf 29.5 Kb). Ask at your
local
library for information about free internet and email training
sessions.
We answer over 800,000 enquiries every year in libraries and via
our online enquiry service, Ask Suffolk. We also
provide information by selecting fantastic online resources for the
Suffolk
Reference Direct, and maintaining Suffolk
InfoLink, a database of clubs, societies and local
organisations. There are special resources for
children
such as
Help with Homework.
There are over a million
books available to borrow, and over 50,000
audio/visual titles available for rent, all listed on our
catalogue.
You can reserve a title from the catalogue and choose to collect it
from any
Suffolk library. You
can
add your own reviews of titles to the catalogue.
If you need some help choosing what to
read, try
Readiscovery.

And all Suffolk libraries offer the Sunday experience. Music and
