Paige is a Team Read winner
Ten year old Paige Allen is now the envy of all her friends after
she won a recent competition run by Suffolk Libraries.
As part of the National Year of Reading, Suffolk Libraries held an
event at Ipswich Town Football Club at the beginning of the school
summer holidays to launch their summer reading challenge 'Team
Read' (more details and photos below). All those who signed up to
the challenge at the launch event were entered in to a free prize
draw to win a football signed by members of the Ipswich Town
squad.
The draw was made by Councillor Graham Newman at Endeavour House on
4 September and Paige was the lucky winner. Paige collected her
prize at Gainsborough Library where she completed the challenge -
she had read six books which included several titles from the
"Horrible History" series.
Paige was presented with the signed football by Councillor Graham
Newman, Portfolio Holder for Adult and Community Service, local
Councillor Bill Quinton and Ipswich Town defender Moritz Volz at a
special event held at
Gainsborough Library on 22 September.
