
Bookstart is a national programme
that aims to provide a free pack of books along with a warm
and friendly message to every baby and 3 year old in the
UK. Childminders may collect the packs for children in their
care. Bookstart also promotes rhyme sessions in libraries for
the young children, their families and carers. |

The Bookstart Baby packs for babies are
available from Health Visiting Teams,
Libraries and
Children’s Centres

The Bookstart + packs for toddlers ended in
June 2011 |
The Bookstart packs for 3 year olds are supplied
via pre-school settings, the term after the child’s third
birthday.

Childcare providers
please note: For Bookstart Treasure Chests - as
there were no deliveries in the Autumn Term 2011, due to the packs
changing and low stock, the Autumn and Spring packs will be
delivered together towards the end of the Spring Term 2012 and may
contain a mixture of the old and new packs. If you have any
