Arts for All

Funding for arts projects in Suffolk

Suffolk Arts Service provides a fund - Arts for All - through which it supports high quality, imaginative arts events that really involve local communities in the arts.

Arts for All is managed by The Suffolk Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people of Suffolk.

The Suffolk Foundation is a grant giving organisation that supports local community groups and projects. They manage a variety of funds on behalf of individuals, companies, trusts and public agencies, acting as a vital link between local donors and local needs – connecting people who care with causes that matter.

By having Arts for All managed by The Suffolk Foundation, not only does it make the application process simpler, but it also provides information about other funds that may be able to support your project.

So, if you are looking for funds to support your arts project, please do visit The Suffolk Foundation.

Round 3 - Friday 16th October, for Monday 2nd November 2009 meeting

General criteria for Suffolk Single Gateway funding

All applications to the Suffolk Single Gateway Scheme have to comply with particular criteria and contribute to certain outcomes; you can read about these in the Guidelines for Applications, available via the Suffolk Single Gateway Scheme link.

Criteria and Outcomes for the Arts for All fund

Specific funds also have their own set of criteria and outcomes, in addition to the general ones listed in the Guidelines for Applications.

Arts for All funding is aimed at: -

  • Innovative, high quality projects that benefit people with limited opportunities to enjoy leisure time activities, arts and cultural events
  • Projects/groups that focus on activities that genuinely reach people who have difficulty in taking part in leisure time activities, arts and cultural events
  • New projects. The project/event must be additional to your standard activity. If you run a regular programme of activities or events, you will have to show how the project extends your normal activities.

Arts for All Outcomes

Your project must also contribute towards one or more of the following two outcomes: -

  • Increased cultural participation in Suffolk (i.e. increased participation in leisure time activities, arts and cultural events)
  • Increased adult participation in active recreation.

The maximum grant from the Arts for All Fund is £1,500 - and it will not fund core costs.

If you are not sure if your project is eligible for Arts for All funding, please contact Katrina Copping, who will be able to advise you on this, and other, available funds.
