Applying for jobs
We advertise our vacancies in a range of different places
including:
- local and national press;
- on our web site; and
- specialist magazines and associated websites.
We have temporary and permanent positions available.
You can register on line, and save your personal details and
employment history on your own secure part of the website. For most
of our vacancies, you can then easily complete an application form
online, already pre-filled with the details you registered.
Alternatively, you can apply by telephone - details can be found on
each individual advert.
Suffolk County Council application packs include:
- a job and person profile;
- an application form, if applicable; and
- guidance on how to apply.
The job and person profile tells you what the job involves and
sets out the knowledge, skills and experience you need to do the
job.
If you require more information and there is no application pack
for the job you are interested in you should contact
the person named on the advertisement.
To apply for a job either submit your electronic application
form, as instructed on the web site, or follow the instructions
posted to you with the pack.
It is important to remember to return your application no later
than 1pm on the "closing date" given.
If your application is successful, we will contact you to
explain what happens next and give you details on anything you may
need to
prepare.
