SITA UK was granted planning permission on 21 July 2011.

including responses to the public consultation, on the

Work will start later this year and the facility will open by
December 2014.
SITA UK will also need a permit, with strict operating and
environmental conditions attached, before the site can open. A
decision on the permit application is expected this summer.
In the meantime, the Community Liaison Group, which includes
