Suffolk County Council has helped
to secure of an average of £28 million of external funding per
annum into the county over the last 3 years. This funding is
normally for service improvement and innovation.
Suffolk County Council's External Funding Team has
been central to this external funding success. The team's prime
role is the facilitation of applications from Suffolk to the
principle external funding sources, namely Europe, the Lottery,
East of England Development Agency and UK government sources.
Over £100 million of external funding is expected
to be available over the next 4 years. The External Funding
Team will be working to secure this funding.
The External Funding services includes newsletter
production, regular funding updates and fact sheets, signposting to
funding sources, grantfinder and other web based services, detailed
support and assistance in preparing funding applications,
organisational and business development advice, and high level
liaison and negotiation with funding bodies on behalf of the
public, private and voluntary sectors in Suffolk.

benefit the people of Suffolk by improving the community, economy
