Suffolk County Council are responsible for dealing with all
waste planning matters. This includes:

authorising planning applications for waste
management facilities and related development;

monitoring of sites for compliance with
planning conditions;

preparation and implementation of planning
policies to control waste planning matters; and

taking enforcement action against unauthorised
development.
Waste Planning Policy
Suffolk County Council formally adopted the
Waste Core Strategy Development Plan Document on 17 March 2011.
This document is part of a suite of documents which makes up the
Suffolk Minerals and Waste Development
Scheme.
