Waste Planning


Suffolk County Council are responsible for dealing with all waste planning matters. This includes:
  • authorising planning applications for waste management facilities and related development;
  • monitoring of sites for compliance with planning conditions;
  • preparation and implementation of planning policies to control waste planning matters; and
  • taking enforcement action against unauthorised development.

Waste Planning Policy

Suffolk County Council formally adopted the Waste Core Strategy Development Plan Document on 17 March 2011. This document is part of a suite of documents which makes up the Suffolk Minerals and Waste Development Scheme.
