Suffolk's environment is one of
the finest in Britain. Suffolk is making an important contribution
to tackling global environmental issues, and we must do more. The
Suffolk Strategic
Partnership is committed to making this ambition a reality
through the 'Suffolk, Creating the Greenest County' priority of the
Community Strategy - 'Transforming Suffolk'. Under this priority
Suffolk wants to:
- be an exemplar in tackling climate change and protecting and
enhancing its natural and historic environment.
- reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 60% by 2025.
Suffolk County Council is proud to support the Creating the
Greenest County priority. To demonstrate its commitment to the
priority, the council has set out its contribution to
Creating the Greenest County in its
Environment Action Plan for 2009-2011.
