Country Parks - general information

Promoting conservation, enhancement and enjoyment of the Suffolk countryside through our park services.

As part of Suffolk County Council’s Countryside Service, we manage 28 sites covering approximately 330 hectares.

These include:

  • local nature reserves;
  • picnic sites;
  • sites of special scientific interest; and
  • three country parks.

The sites also feature scheduled ancient monuments, listed buildings and visitor and information centres.

Management arrangements vary with sites being owned, leased and managed in partnership with other organisations.

All of the sites are open for public recreation.
