Business and Biodiversity

The corporate sector can gain surprising benefits from supporting biodiversity initiatives. Businesses themselves have identified five major benefits from being associated with a biodiversity partnership:

  • increased publicity and media attention through supporting high-profile projects
  • a raised profile within the conservation community
  • access to technical expertise and knowledge
  • opportunities for staff to get involved in volunteering on projects
  • demonstration of active involvement in environmental and community responsibilities

Suffolk Biodiversity Partnership is seeking business partners in the county. If your business would like to discuss options such as financially supporting our Project Fund, becoming a Champion of a Biodiversity Action Plan species or habitat, or undertaking a wildlife audit on your sites, please contact us.

Society must address the environmental issues facing us today for the sake of our own well-being and for future generations. By working together, members of Suffolk Biodiversity Partnership play a strong role in halting the decline in biodiversity and mitigating climate change challenges for our wildlife. We actively address other threats such as habitat loss, the negative effects of alien invasive species on our own native species and pollution.
