Suffolk is rich in archaeological monuments and sites of
historic interest, as well as having a fine collection of listed
buildings. These sites are set in one of the oldest settled
landscapes in England. To enhance the value of the county's
historic assets, the Archaeology Service provides advice to
farmers, landowners and the public on issues relating to the
archaeological sites and the historic landscape of your farm or in
your area.
Do you want to know more about the archaeological sites in your
area?
Do you want to advice on how to protect and manage the historic
assets of the countryside?
Do you need advice or a Historic Environments Statement for the
Entry Level (ELS) and Higher Level (HLS) Schemes?
Or if you would like to know more about:
- Understanding the historic landscape
- Nature conservation projects and archaeology
- Historic countryside issues
- Farm advice
- Managing the monuments in your area
