These projects are mainly managed by the Conservation team of the Archaeological service and look at broad themes or areas within Suffolk's historic environment.

A project examining historic field systems across East Anglia.
Geophysics on Roman settlements
Magnetometry survey on Roman sites that were previously defined only by surface finds is showing valuable information about the layout of enclosures and buildings.
Historic Environment Countryside Advice
Archaeological advice to farmers and landowners, particularly in relation to agricultural grant schemes
Historic Landscape Characterisation
This project is the first detailed survey of the character of the entire landscape of Suffolk from a historical perspective.
