This course is suitable for any front line practitioner working
directly with children, young people and families. Particularly
useful to those new to the children and young people’s workforce or
those developing their skills in multi-agency working. We welcome
applications from all sectors including pastoral support workers in
schools, health workers, police and community support officers and
those in the Private Voluntary and Independent sectors, as well as

Newly Qualified Social Worker Programme
This programme, piloted for the first time in 2008-09, is a
structured programme of supervision, training and development that
is tailored to meet the experiences and needs of newly qualified
social workers. It aims to ensure that as an NQSW you are supported
to become the confident and capable social worker that children and
young people need.
