The HR Learning & Development Team supports the development
of individuals across the organisation by:
- Providing a range of relevant learning and development
opportunities which recognise that people learn in different
ways
- Working with business colleagues to help improve service
delivery
- Encouraging and supporting individuals to take responsibility
for their own learning and career development
- Advising line managers on the best learning and development
solutions to fit the requirements of their team
- Promoting best practice across the organisation in terms of
diversity and equality issues
- Providing knowledge and skills needed to deal effectively with
difficult/dangerous or violent behaviour through our
UniSAFE and
SchoolSAFE programmes
We recognise the importance of life long learning to you the
individual and the organisation, particularly within a culture of
constant change. This change places a significantly increased
importance on our ability to learn and the effectiveness of our
learning in the workplace.
All learning opportunities provided by the Learning and
Development Team have been developed and piloted with staff and in
specific cases in partnership with other learning establishments,
in order to ensure that they are relevant both in terms of content
and approach. Information on new or additional courses, which
may be developed during the course of the year, will be
communicated through a variety of channels.
