Parent Partnership Service

We provide support and information for parents and carers of children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs to enable them to play an active and valuable role in their children's education.

We work with parents and carers of children of all ages whatever their Special Educational Need.

Parent Partnership staff and volunteers can support parents and carers from the time that their child’s needs are first identified.

We also work with schools, pupil referral units (PRUs) and the County Council to increase awareness of parental perspectives and encourage a conciliatory approach.  PRU Parent/Carer Support and Information - Judy Wild (PDF, 553Kb).

School Preference Advisers can provide impartial information and support.

They are available to help parents and carers understand the schools admissions process, listen to questions and concerns about applying for a school and provide impartial information so parents can make informed decisions about which school to apply to.
