Describing how to access your child's educational record.
Schools keep educational records for each pupil and when a child
moves to a new school their record will be forwarded to that
school.
Parents have a right to see their child’s educational record and
can access this by writing to the school to make arrangements to
see it. If you would like a copy of your child’s educational
record, you may be asked to make a small charge to cover the cost
of photocopying.
School records are kept for 25 years from the child’s date of birth
and are then destroyed.
To request access to your child's educational record,
please contact your school directly.
