Type of provision
Harbour is a Pupil Referral Unit. Pupil Referral Units are
owned and run by the county council. We decide the policy for
admissions to this provision.
Age range
8-13 years
Key Stage 2/3
Harbour caters for the needs of young people up to the age
of 8-13 years. This will generally be a part-time
provision with some of the time being spent at the unit and some at
the 'home' school. Staff from Harbour will work on an
outreach basis to support the re-integration of their young people
back into mainstream education.

Admissions information
Young people are referred to a Pupil Referral Unit by people
such as Educational Psychologists or Educational Welfare
Officers. The Area Admissions Panel will decide if this
provision is appropriate for a young person. The Pupil
Referral Unit will then prioritise placement through their own
Admissions Panel held each term.
