More information

Type of provision

Hampden House is a Pupil Referral Unit. Pupil Referral Units are owned and run by the county council. We decide the policy for admissions to this provision.

Age range

7-16 years

Key Stage 2/3

Hampden House caters for the needs of young people up to the age of 7-16 years. This will generally be a part-time provision with some of the time being spent at the unit and some at the 'home' school. Staff from Hampden House will work on an outreach basis to support the re-integration of their young people back into mainstream education.

Key Stage 4

Hampden House also caters for the needs of young people up to the age of 7-16 years. This would generally be on a 'full-time' basis providing up to 25 hours per week which may include a college/work experience placement.

Admissions information

Young people are referred to a Pupil Referral Unit by people such as Educational Psychologists or Educational Welfare Officers. The Area Admissions Panel will decide if this provision is appropriate for a young person. The Pupil Referral Unit will then prioritise placement through their own Admissions Panel held each term.

Holidays

Please visit the Pupil Referral Unit's web site, or contact the Pupil Referral Unit directly for the extra days the school is closed for professional development.
