The Suffolk Outdoor and Residential Education team is a part of the Youth Support Service within Children and Young People’s Services.  The team is responsible for the development and co-ordination of outdoor and residential facilities in the county.

Outdoor Education can make a unique contribution towards personal development, it is instrumental in preparing young people for adult life by raising achievement through boosting motivation, promoting health and fitness, and addressing issues in social education and citizenship.

	Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre Provides challenging outdoor activities for young people in a safe supportive and fun environment.
	Suffolk Water Sports Assoication Try out a diverse range of exciting watersports experiences at four locations across the County.
	Duke of Edinburgh's Award An enjoyable, challeneging and rewarding programme of personal development for all young people from 14 - 19 years.
	Felixstowe Ferry Residential Centre Hostel style self Catering Accomaodation for up to 25 People, ideally suited to access watersports and to explore the coastal enviroment.
	Suffolk Camp Store  A wide range of camping and expedition equipment available to hire.
