Felixstowe Ferry Residential Centre was converted from an old
Victorian Primary School situated on the Suffolk Coast between
Felixstowe town and Felixstowe Ferry. Available
throughput the year it is well equipped with essentials needed for
a short-stay residentials.
Accommodation
The centre provides a hostel style, self–catering accommodation
for up the 25 people in two dormitories with bunk beds, one for 10
and the other for 12 with separate accommodation for 3 staff.
The accommodation comprises of:
· 1x 10 bed dormitory
· 1x12 bed dormitory
· 1 twin staff bedroom
· 1 single staff bedroom/ medical room
Pillows are available for groups to use; however bedding is not
supplied at the centre.
The Area
The centre is an area well suited to water sports and field
studies. The near by river Deben can be crossed by foot ferry at
Felixstowe Ferry giving access to the Bawdsey Peninsula with its
wealth of wildlife, open beaches, marshland and riverbanks are
nearby.
