Information for students commencing their courses in September
2009
If you are planning to start a course of higher education at
University in 2009 and you are intending to apply for financial
help, you will need to apply for this support directly to a new
agency - Student Finance England.
Local Authorities will not be responsible for processing student
finance applications for 2009 University entrants. Instead
your application will be dealt with centrally by Student Finance
England.
For information on how to apply for funding, and the amount you are
likely to receive, please refer to the Student Finance England link
at the bottom of this page.
The Customer Service Office for the Student Loans Company will also
be able to provide you with information. They can be

Renewing your application for Student Finance in September
2009
Students continuing their studies need to renew their
application for financial help in each year of the course.
The Student Loans Company should have contacted you about how to
renew your Student Support for the 2009/10 academic year prior to
Christmas 2008. If you have not heard from the
Student Loans Company you should contact their helpline:
