Qualifications

If you want to train for a qualification, you need to discuss it with your manager first. The type of setting you work at will determine the qualification you need. Information on courses can be found by accessing the websites of training providers who are members of our Training Providers Forum. A list of these training providers is at the bottom of this page.

Alternatively, phone and speak to a Training Consultant.

Funding to support your qualification
To apply for funding to support the cost of your qualification, complete the funding application form and return to Workforce Development: Early Years and Childcare.
Funding applications will be considered on a monthly basis while funding remains.

To be eligible for this funding you need to

  • ensure that your setting has registered all staff on the CWDC online audit tool;
  • be an EYFS playwork practitioner working at least 15 hours per week in a school or private, voluntary or independent Ofsted-registered setting;
  • have at least six months relevant work experience when the qualification starts;
  • not be studying for another qualification.
