On this page, you will find the
Forward Plan of key decisions that the county council is required
to publish under the Local Government Act 2000. The Plan covers a
period of four months and is updated on or near the 14th day of
every month.
The purpose of the Forward Plan is to give advance notice of the
key decisions the council is likely to make during the four-month
period.
In Suffolk County Council, most key decisions are made by the
Cabinet; the remainder - for example, setting the budget - are made
by the full county council. The Cabinet aims to keep to the dates
shown in the Plan as far as possible. However, as new circumstances
come to light, it may be necessary to reschedule some items and add
others - the Forward Plan indicates when items have been moved or
added for the first time.
