Performance Improvement

The Performance Improvement team was set up on 1 April 2008, bringing together performance and risk specialists from all areas of the council including Children and Young People, Adult & Community Services, Public Protection, and Environment & Transport.

The purpose of our team is to:

  • Promote a robust performance management culture, strive for continuous improvement and support those responsible for service delivery.
  • Support the development and embedding of risk management across the Council.
  • Contextualise and interpret performance and risk information to inform strategic direction and decision making and drive service improvement
  • Continuously review and develop performance indicators which measure both service outcomes and service quality.
  • Support the Council in the preparation for inspection and other regulatory activity.
