Staff Support Networks

What is a staff support network? What can they do for me?

A staff support network is somewhere where you can meet and talk to others about the issues you face together on a day-to-day basis, and be involved in decision making at the council. As a group, you can make a real difference and create a stronger voice for the things that matter to you.

Suffolk County Council is the largest employer in the county, and our staff come from a diverse range of backgrounds and communities, with many different needs, wants and aspirations. There are currently seven staff support networks, which are open to all Suffolk County Council staff.

  • Christian Fellowship
  • Family Carers' Staff Network
  • Suffolk BME Staff Network (black & minority ethnic)
  • Suffolk LGBT Staff Network (lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender)
  • Suffolk Staff Disability Network
  • Positively Enabling Disabled Staff - for disabled staff and those experiencing a long-term health condition
  • Women's Staff Network

If you would like to find out more information about the networks, please read our booklet via the link below. Contact details are provided throughout this booklet for each of the networks.
