About councillors

Providing information about councillors and how to contact them.

Councillors are a key element of Suffolk County Council and its work. They provide the overall direction of the council and are elected to represent the public.

Councillors have a number of roles. They represent all the people in their area or constituency, but also have a job to monitor what the council does.

Councillors can be contacted directly via phone, email or letter.  To find their details, please go to the A to Z of councillors page.

They are assisted by Councillor Services, who provide support to councillors and the democratic process through the committee structure and locality arrangements.
