Details of how to get to Suffolk.

Ipswich is easily accessible from the UK road and rail network. You can reach it by road from the A14 if you are travelling from the Midlands or North, or from the A12 if you are travelling from the South. Both of these roads are dual-carriageway and are well connected to the UK motorway network and beyond. Ipswich has three convenient Park and Ride services, situated just off the A14 to the east, west and south of the town.

Ipswich is also served by ferry from continental Europe via the nearby port of Harwich. Rail services to Suffolk are provided by One Railway (National Express from 27 February 2008) and leave London Liverpool Street every half-hour throughout the day. There are also a number of local services. Cross-country rail connections can be made via Norwich and the Midlands.

Bury St. Edmunds and Lowestoft are also easy to reach. Bury is to the west of Ipswich on the A14, and Lowestoft is to the north on the A12. Both of these locations are also served by regular rail services.
