Scrutiny
The team works with councillors and officers to manage and
develop and scrutiny function. This includes:
- Providing a 'critical friend' challenge to policy-makers and
decision-makers
- Enabling the voice and concerns of the public and its
communities
- Driving improvement in public services
The role of Scrutiny Committees is to independently review,
examine and monitor public services in suffolk. The decisions and
views taken by Scrutiny are seperate to and independent to those
taken by Suffolk County Council or its Cabinet.
