Resource Management Service Office

Context

Resource Management's role is central to helping the council to agree and deliver its strategic direction, governance arrangements and drive for new ways of working and efficiencies.

There is very close working between the Resource Management Service Office and the Chief Executive's Service Office and Customer Service Direct (CSD), the council's strategic partner.

Resource Management's work supports the responsibilities of three Portfolio Holders:

• Councillor Jane Storey (Leader of the County Council & Portfolio Holder - Resource Management & Transformation)
• Councillor Colin Spence (Portfolio Holder - Public Protection)
• Councillor Mark Bee (Portfolio Holder - Communications)

About us and our structure

The Resource Management Service Office brings together the following functions - some of which (Finance, Human Resources and ICT) are provided by Customer Service Direct (CSD):

• Finance
• Human Resources
• ICT Services
• Property and Facilities Management

In addition, the Service Office management team also comprises of six Heads of Specialist Support Functions (detailed below). They have a direct report to the Director of Resource Management.

• Communications and Marketing
• Corporate Team
• Scrutiny and Monitoring
• Sourcing, Procurement and Contract Management

We also work in very close collaboration with all Service Offices in the county council.
