Common Assessment Framework (CAF)

Children and Young People's Services: a vision to encourage and enable all children and young people in Suffolk to aspire to and achieve their potential.

The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a key part of delivering early frontline services that are integrated and focused around the needs of children and young people. The CAF is a standardised approach to conducting an assessment of a child's additional needs and planning how those needs should be met.

ContactPoint is a national database of all children aged 0-18 years in England. It will hold identifying information for the child and contact details for their parent(s)/carer(s) as well as services which are currently working with the child.

There is no case or assessment information on ContactPoint and only authorised users will be able to access the database.

Alice Redfearn is the Local Implementation Manager and can be contacted on Alice.Redfearn@cexec.suffolkcc.gov.uk or 07841 939820
