Supporting People Users Forum (SPUF)

The Supporting People Users Forum (SPUF) was set up in July 2008.  The aim of this group is for service users to have their say in how we improve our services.

Your comments about the Supporting People service you receive are very important to us.   We are interested in hearing from you about what makes your service good and if your service can be improved.  Your views (along with those of other service users) will influence the planning, review and development of Supporting People services.

What SPUF has achieved so far

  • approved the Suffolk Supporting People Service User strategy
  • contributed to the Supporting People Annual Report
  • helped to redesign Supporting People leaflets
  • influenced the development of 2 new services
  • started our own SPUF newsletter

Plans for the future

  • An annual Service User event
  • Assist with reviewing services
  • Involve Service Users in the Supporting People Governance structure

If you receive a housing-related support service and are interested in joining SPUF please contact Sara Spencer on 01473 581822 or email Sara.Spencer@suffolk.gov.uk
