Useful Information

Now available from CWDC for Foster Carers and Residential Child Care Workers

Professional Pathways is a unique and innovative online tool for anyone working in foster care or residential child care. It provides information on the most common and accessible learning and development, qualifications and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for foster care and residential child care.

The information provided aims to support you to meet the needs of the children and young people within your care. It has been developed in collaboration with practitioners and managers to continue to develop the skills of all individuals within the workforce.

Two Professional Pathways have been developed to date: one for foster carers, the other for people who work in a residential children's setting. Additional Professional Pathways, to include information on other parts of the children's workforce, may be developed in the future.
