What is Adoption?
Adoption means providing a permanent, stable home to a child or
young person - and by so doing, giving them the chance to fulfil
their potential.
Adopters can provide a secure family home for children unable to
remain with their birth parents.
Adoption offers children the opportunity to grow up in a safe and
nurturing environment.
Adoption is the legal process by which parental responsibility for
a child or young person is given to a new parent or parents.
And finally adoption is a permanent, life-long commitment to a
child or young person.
