Assistive Technology/Telecare and Community Personal Alarm Services in Suffolk
Details of providers who supply community alarms and Assistive Technology/Telecare Services to support individuals and Family Carers in the community. The services are monitored by a control centre which contacts nominated people in the event of an emergency.
Assistive Technology/Telecare Services
Assistive Technology/Telecare helps people to live at home by reducing levels of risk, helping people feel safer and more secure, enabling people with memory problems and supporting relatives and Family Carers.
Community meals "Meals on Wheels"
Suffolk County Council provides a meal service for people assessed as needing this support. The assessment is not based on a person’s age, but the ability to shop and prepare meals for themselves.
Equipment
There is a variety of equipment available which may help you, e.g. bed raisers to make it easier to get in and out of your bed, toilet raisers to help you get on and off the toilet, or hoists to move you from your bed to your chair.
