Get involved in the Suffolk LINk

Who can be involved in the new Suffolk LINk?

Anyone can be a part of a LINk. We want to ensure that the Suffolk LINk represents everyone in the community. This means all different groups and people in Suffolk will be able to join in and have their say. LINk members could include:

  • organisations led by patients, service users and carers;
  • local voluntary and community organisations;
  • individuals.

But you do not have to become a member of the Suffolk LINk to get involved or have your say.

How can you be involved?

We are having public consultation events across the county to find out people’s priorities for health and social care and how they want the new Suffolk LINk to be set up. After the public consultation events, the interim Suffolk LINk will report back on what is happening through public meetings and newsletters.

People interested in the Suffolk LINk will also be able to attend the public meetings and raise any questions or issues they have in special public sessions. This way, the interim Suffolk LINk will be accountable to local people and groups for its actions until the new Suffolk LINk is set up. The new Suffolk LINk will be set up by no later than the end of September 2008, but it could be set up before then. You can help start up the Suffolk LINk by:

  • receiving newsletters;
  • sending us your views;
  • coming to consultation events;
  • coming to LINks meetings.
