LINks - Local Involvement Networks

What is the Suffolk LINk?

Once established, the new Suffolk LINk will be a network of local people, organisations and groups that will influence health and social care services. The new Suffolk LINk will be expected to represent everyone and will also work with health and social care professionals to make sure local people have a strong voice in how services are planned and run. We want to tell you about the plans for the new Suffolk LINk so that you can influence how it will work and what it will do.

What will the Suffolk LINk do?

  • Give everyone the chance to say what they think about their local health and social care services – what’s working well and what’s not.
  • Give people the chance to check how health and social care services are planned and run.
  • Feedback what people have said about services so that things can change for the better.

How are we setting up the new Suffolk LINk?

We held elections in January for a Project Group to help set up the Suffolk LINk. This group will act as the interim Suffolk LINk until a network of local people, organisations and groups have joined together to form the new Suffolk LINk. Together with Suffolk County Council, they will encourage as many people, groups and organisations as possible to join the LINk. They will talk to people and groups in the community to work out how LINk activities can be carried out and how the new Suffolk LINk can be set up.
