Paddock House is situated in the centre of the small market
town of Eye.
There is easy access to the local shops, which includes a
chemist, two supermarkets, a bakery and other specialist antique
and gift shops.
Local G.P. and dental services are available within the town.
There are landscaped gardens to the front of the building, and a
courtyard garden to the rear of the home. All the gardens are
wheelchair accessible.
The home was purpose built in the 1960’s and underwent
extensive refurbishment in 1995.
Accommodation offers 30 single rooms all with en-suite
facilities. There are three units each with a communal lounge,
dining room, kitchen and bathrooms. The units are supported by a
central laundry and large kitchen which provides main meals to the
home and adjoining day services centre offering a varied and
extensive menu. There are also central community rooms and a
library/quiet area available to all residents.
Eighteen of the rooms are for frail elderly people, ten are
designated for elderly people with special needs and the remaining
two rooms are for short term care for elderly people living in the
community. All rooms are connected to an emergency call system.
Hairdressing and chiropody services are accessible within
Paddock House. There is a mobile phone available for use by the
residents and private phones can be connected to every room at an
additional cost.
There are various activities available to residents including
church services and outings to local places of interest.
There are trained staff on duty at all times to ensure high
quality and individualised care for every resident.
A bungalow in the grounds to the side of Paddock House
offers a day service centre to elderly people living in and around
Eye.
