Mills Meadow is situated in the market town of Framlingham and
is just a short walk away from the shops and other local
facilities.
The home is divided into hamlets, all bedrooms are en-suite and
each hamlet has its own communal lounge, kitchen, bathing
facilities. An emergency call bell system is accessible from every

The staff team are trained to a very high standard to ensure the
continuity of individualised care.
Through regular reviews, residents meetings and yearly
appraisals for staff, we ensure we meet the principles of good
practise, maintaining each person's rights, for respect, privacy
and dignity to enable each individual resident, however, frail to
lead as self-determining and fulfilling a life as possible.
The hamlets

care for older people with special needs.
Rose and Viola are both 6-bedded hamlets offering permanent care
to frail older people.

respite care to older people and the 2 remaining beds are for the
permanent care of frail older people.
Mills Meadow's purpose
The purpose of Mills Meadow is to provide a homely, safe,
comfortable, flexible environment with stimulus, support,
encouragement and opportunity to retain independence for as long as
possible, whilst providing an equal and quality service to all
residents recognising each individual to be unique and enabling
each to meet their personal needs with regard to gender, religion,
culture, language, etc.
The home is single storey and where necessary ramps have been
provided to allow easy access to all areas and doorways are wide
enough for wheelchair access.
We have a dedicated hairdressing room and a hairdresser attends
the Home one-day a week.
Residents can request a newspaper/magazine delivery
service. We use the local newsagent and it functions as it
would in your own home.
Referrals for admission to Mills Meadow are made by the local
Social Care Managers /social workers and the main criteria for
admission is that prospective residents need to be considered in
need of personal care which cannot safely be provided within their
own home.
