Homelessness

Information about services if you are homeless, or under threat of homelessness.

If you are homeless, or under threat of homelessness, and need advice or assistance, the housing departments of the seven district or borough councils in Suffolk have legal responsibilities to respond to these needs.

This list provides links to the relevant web sites for more information:

The district or borough council should secure accommodation for you if you are:
  • homeless;
  • in "priority need" (a household with dependent children or a pregnant woman, elderly, or otherwise vulnerable);
  • not intentionally homeless;
  • have a local connection.
