Suffolk Trusted Trader is the only trader directory endorsed by
Suffolk County Council. It welcomes our county’s reputable traders
and offers them a unique opportunity to promote their business all
year round and to a larger section of the local community. While
helping vulnerable customers avoid rogue traders, the scheme allows
members to stand out from the crowd and enhance their reputation.

How does
it work?
The
Suffolk
Trusted Trader online directory is free to use for
residents. We also offer consumers a telephone line operated
by Suffolk Trading Standards so that people who don't have access
to the internet can still benefit from the scheme.
The
directory
displays feedback provided by your customers, very much like word
of mouth, but much bigger because feedback is available to more
than just your customers’ friends and neighbours so a good trader’s
reputation can spread faster!
Once you have been approved, all you need to do is ask your clients
to provide feedback so it can appear on the Suffolk Trusted Trader
online directory alongside your details.

All you need
to do is apply. We will check that you are suitable for the scheme
before sending you a membership pack. If you application is
unsuccessful, we will refund your fee in full.

How to apply for membership
Download an
Application for Membership form (PDF, 164k) and an
Application Checklist (PDF, 29K) to ensure you provide all the
relevant supporting documentation. Failure to send the correct
information and evidence will result in a delay in the processing
of your application.
Completed forms and supporting documentation should be sent to
our
office.
Membership is open to any business/trader with a permanent address
in the Suffolk County Council area, subject to
the
Trusted Trader Terms and Conditions and Code of Practice
(PDF, 1524k)
