Consumer Direct is a government funded advice service which works
in association with Trading Standards. Regionally based advisors
are on hand to answer your consumer queries and advise you on your
rights.

The Food Standards Agency's consumer advice and information site
contains practical advice about healthy eating, understanding food
labels, food allergy and intolerance, and how to eat less salt and
keeping food safe.

The Food Standards Agency is an independent Government department
set up to protect the public's health and consumer interests in
relation to food. The agency issues food alerts to food authorities
and consumers to let them know about problems, and in some cases,
provide details of specific action to be taken by Food
Authorities.
